Benefits of the Scheme:
For Parents

  • This means that they are not unsuitable to care for children and have some understanding of their needs and what to do in an emergency.
  • Suitable childcare can be provided that meets your own specific needs.
  • By using an approved carer you may be able to access financial support through the childcare element of the Working Tax Credit or through employer supported childcare vouchers.

For Children

  • Increase your employability through a nationally recognised approval scheme commissioned by the National Assembly for Wales.
  • Gain recognised confirmation of your childcare training and status.
  • Increase you opportunity for employment with parents who may benefit from claiming tax benefits when using approved childcarers.
