Children's University

Awards are based on the amount of time young people spend within Children's University activities and their age. All Children's and Youth University awards must involve credits collected for activities with a community contribution. The credits collected are added together and go towards the following awards:

Whenever students attend activity modules that are accredited, registers are taken recording attendance. At the end of the module a certificate will be issued to present at the Activity Centre. Credits are accumulated and banked towards the different levels of the award. A boroughwide celebration will be held to celebrate the achievement of students who gain the individual levels of the award.

The Children's University wants children and young people to:
· Believe that learning is a lifelong process
· Become confident and independent learners
· Have many interests
· Use their free time to attend a wide variety of learning activities
· Develop their skills and knowledge in a wide variety of areas
