Football

The Football Development Officer for Blaenau Gwent, develops more opportunities for both boys and girls to participate in football and develop standards of play. The two national schemes that have been developed in the local area are the FAW Club Accreditation and Faw Schools Accreditation Programme.

Rugby

The Rugby Development Officer for Blaenau Gwent facilitates and develops sustainable rugby development within Blaenau Gwent.

Netball

Netball opportunities have increased considerably within Blaenau Gwent since 2002 with the numbers of women & girls playing quadrupling!! There are opportunities for all to play competitive or recreational netball, there is a club within the Authority to suit all abilities.

Cricket

Blaenau Gwent is home to a Regional Indoor Cricket School at Ebbw Vale, which is managed by the local authority who work closely with local clubs and the Cricket Board of Wales to promote and develop the game of cricket for both seniors and juniors.
