What is Bridges into Work?
The aim of the project is to support local people to gain the skills and confidence to help them move towards employment.
How does the project work?
If you live in Blaenau Gwent, are not in full time education, not working or working under 16 hours per week then Bridges into Work will offer you guidance and support to help you move closer to employment. As part of the Bridges into Work project you will be able to access free learning opportunities to help you gain the skills and qualifications you need to achieve your goals.
The learning opportunities on offer include:
- Job Related Training
- Confidence Building
- IT Courses
- Improve your English and Maths
- GCSE English and Maths
- Languages - including Welsh and Sign language
- First Aid
- Manual Handling
- Food Safety
- Beauty Techniques
- Creative Crafts
- Introduction to digital photography
- And much much more...
How will I benefit?
All the learning opportunities are free, located in community venues and you will have the opportunity to gain formal learning qualifications.
You can also benefit from individual support from the project’s community learning and development officers plus personal learning action plans, basic skills development and childcare provision.
