Pass Plus Cymru Young Driver Improvement Scheme
Pass Plus Cymru is a specially enhanced driving course you can take after passing your test.
By building on your driving skill, knowledge and hazard awareness, the course will help to reduce your risk of being involved in a crash and you could qualify for a substantial discount with many insurance companies.
Best of all it's heavily subsidised as a result of Welsh Assembly funding and will cost you only £20!
Safer young drivers in Gwent
An Approved Driving Instructor and the local Road Safety Officer lead the session, with invaluable input from the South Wales Fire & Rescue Service.
Capita Symonds Road Safety team in conjunction with Road Safety Wales, MAC Driver Training, and local authorities across Wales, are all promoting this major new project.
All drivers who take part will have the opportunity to improve their driving skills on this enhanced Pass Plus scheme.
The scheme comprises of six specially designed modules, which cover:-
· driving around town
· driving out of town
· driving in all weather
· driving at night
· driving on dual carriageways
· driving on motorways
Also covered are:
· defensive driving,
· hazard awareness,
· concentration,
· drugs and drink driving,
· safe attitudes,
· speed and behaviour.
To join the course you must:
· Be between the ages of 17-25
· Hold a full driving licence
· Live in Wales
