The Blaenau Gwent and Heads of the Valleys National Eisteddfod was held at The Works, Ebbw Vale from 31 July to 7 August 2010.
This is the first time that the Eisteddfod has been held in the area for over half a century, when Ebbw Vale was home to the festival in 1958.
The old steelworks on the outskirts of the town is home to the Eisteddfod this time, a site which plays an integral role in both local and national industrial history. The site is accessible by car, foot and by public transport, and less than a 45 minute journey from the centre of Cardiff
