The Chill Zone is based @ Brynmawr Foundation School
The Chill Zone runs every night after school from 2.40pm until 5pm. The Chill Zone costs £3 per session and this price includes a hot, meal as well as access to all the activities going on in The Chill Zone.

The Chill Zone is the first of its kind in a secondary school in Blaenau Gwent and is another community and youth engagement initiative.
The Chill Zone is managed by fully qualified play and youth workers supported by our own sixth form volunteers who are keen to gain experience and extra qualifications to go alongside their academic achievements.
The Chill Zone offers the young people a great opportunity to socialise with bean bags and magazines to chill with, music to listen to, arts and crafts, gardening (with the opportunity to gain an environmental ASDAN), yoga, martial arts, traditional board games, Wii games, cinema nights, free swim sessions as well as laptops and printers for those keen to get homework done out of the way. The Chill Zone, then, offers young people somewhere exciting to go after school and parents a cheap solution to childcare problems.
