Free Swimming for 16's and under and 60's and over.

People aged 16 and under can access all four Blaenau Gwent Sports Centre during school holidays and public swim times FREE of charge.

Also all people aged 60 and over can access Blaenau Gwent swimming pools for FREE during public and adult only swimming sessions.

The Welsh Assembly Government’s Free Swimming Initiative, which was first introduced in 2003, has proved very popular with children and adults in the Borough.

Swimming is one of the most popular activities for people over the age of 55, and this trend is no different in Blaenau Gwent.

Blaenau Gwent Whales

They are a community based Swimming Club run by members for members and cater for people with disabilities,
family and friends are also welcome.
They meet every Friday at Nantyglo Sports Centre between 6.30pm and 7.30 pm.
